A STEP BACK IN TIME, 1860s, come to Virginia City, Montana. Learn about the influence of the Civil War in Montana's early history. Experience the fashions and customs of this era. Help celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Montana Historical Society.

Join us for a Victorian High Tea at the Bennett House on Friday. Attend the authentic melodrama at the Opera House at 7:00pm. The Grand Victorian Ball 1864 is Saturday starting at 6:30pm with boardwalk promenade followed by the Grand March and dancing in the Community Center Ballroom at 7pm. A light repast will be served at 9:30pm. Dance to period music provided by music historian, Professor R. Alexander James and his orchestra. Classes on dances and customs are provided the afternoon of the ball at 1:00pm and 2:00pm. 1860's-1880's period costumes are required to attend the Grand Ball, but not a requirement for spectators.
