ExplorationWorks! is a hands-on interactive science center for all ages. Two floors of exhibits and displays offer hours of fun for the whole family. Exhibits change seasonally so the center is different every time you visit. Partnerships with NASA and MIT bring world-class exhibitions to ExplorationWorks.
Classes, camps, and other programs for children are offered throughout the year and create a fun learning environment for the "on the go" generation. Little Sky Country is a section of the center dedicated to pre-school aged learners.
Evening programming for adults offers an engaging alternative to TV and movies. Scientific and cultural topics of the day are the themes of most of the adult programming. Travelers welcome! Check the calendar on the website for times and dates.
Our building is one of very few privately owned facilities to earn national LEED certification as a sustainable "green" construction. Interpretive signs throughout the facility offer a self-guided tour demonstrating the varied uses of sustainable building methods and materials. Many of the commercial "green" construction methods also offer homeowners insight into sustainable and economical methods that can benefit the family home.
On the main floor, ExploreStore offers science kits, learning games, rocks & minerals, and so much more. You'll find an assortment that begins with old-school wooden toys all the way up to modern solar powered car kits. This is not your average department store or roadside knick-knack shop. We guarantee you'll find a great selection of educational and inspirational items at ExploreStore.
PerkWorks is also on the main floor and offers Montana roasted gourmet coffees and espresso drinks to order, as well as smoothies and light snacks.
Our facility has an elevator, is wheelchair accessible, and accommodations are available for other folks with challenges. Just contact us in advance and we'll make sure everybody has access to the learning and fun at ExplorationWorks.
Memberships are available which include admission benefits to nearly 300 ASTC science centers worldwide.
