200 N Rodney, Helena, MT
Eel Sallad can be best categorized as Pacific Northwest Americana Rock - with influences ranging from rock to reggae, from classical to grunge.
They can sound like a folksy rock band when acoustic, or a fun grunge band when the drum kit and electric instruments come out. Led by powerful vocals from the dynamic Dallas Lee (Eel Sallad backwards), their contemplative songwriting and passionate instrumentals creates a soulful high energy sound that you can't help but move to.
Fern Spores is a femme-folk-rock band hailing from Olympia, WA. With a sound that’s as raw and captivating as it is intentional, they weave gritty guitar leads, haunting cello melodies, and powerhouse vocals that leave audiences spellbound. Drawing inspiration from musical giants like Janis Joplin, Alabama Shakes, Susan Tedeschi, and The Runaways, Fern Spores infuse their music with a modern edge while paying homage to the raw energy and authenticity of their predecessors. Their songs are both anthems of empowerment and poignant reflections on life’s highs and lows. Their highly anticipated debut album, The Understory, released on 6/7/2024.
Fern Spores is an all woman band fronted by singer-songwriter Alyssa Nunke (guitar) with Jade Kovats (lead guitar), Abigail Ryle (violin), Caroline Robin (cello, bass), and Jessie Branch (drums). They all sing harmonies and weave a lush sonic landscape accented by Nunke’s reverb soaked 1970’s telephone microphone. Gracefully flowing between vintage psych folk, garage rock, clever covers, and soulful Americana ballads they curate a truly original sound. Angsty but uplifting, whimsical yet fierce, and as rock as it is roll.
