Presentation on Safety when Hunting and Recreating in Bear Country Oct 24 6:00-7:00p at Beaverhead County Fairground 4-H Building, 835 S Railroad St, Dillon. Free to the public; Hunters, residents, recreationalists of all kinds are welcome. This presentation will provide information and training on how to prevent negative bear encounters, what to do if you encounter a bear, and the proper use of bear spray. We will be discussing specific concerns for hunters, along with techniques and methods for those hunting in bear country. Following the presentation, we'll have a practice session outside using inert training canisters. Those who attend will have a chance to win a free can of bear spray.
