The Base Camp

The Base Camp is a Montana owned company since 1975 with folks that love to share the grand experience of Montana and the Northern Rockies. We love where we live, work, and play and we want to help you to enjoy our part of the country to the fullest. We offer the best in footwear to take you through all adventures, from urban casual lines like Dansko, Clark, & Keen, to rugged hiking footwear from Asolo, Scarpa, & Vasque. We are footwear specialists and we guarantee your fit.

For your paddling needs we carry canoes from Mad River. We also carry easy to use touring & recreational kayaks from Dagger & Perception, along with all boating accessories to complete your on the water needs.

In the winter our love for the Montana outdoors continues. We have all the snowshoe, cross country and backcountry ski equipment for sale or rental that you need to get out and enjoy yet another unique and beautiful season we love in Montana. Our selection of winter footwear and outerwear is always the best to keep you warm, dry and comfortable to make the most of the winter season experiences.
