Itinerary Map IconThe Anaconda to Augusta itinerary takes you across much of Southwest Montana on some of the region’s most scenic roads. As you leave Anaconda, you’ll hit the Pintler Veterans' Memorial Scenic Byway as you cross the Pintler Mountains, finding yourself along the shore of Georgetown Lake. Crossing over to Highway 271 agricultural land will be the highlight of your motorcycle tour until you make your way to Highway 200 to Lincoln and finally along the bottom of the Scapegoat Wilderness to Augusta.

If you are looking for a place to rest your head, Anaconda has several options including Fairmont Hot Springs. Today’s tour starts with a stop by Lost Creek State Park, an ADA accessible park. If you have a little more time in Anaconda, the Copper Village Museum & Art Center and Smelter City Brewing are great additions to the day! As you head toward Philipsburg, you’ll pass by Georgetown Lake a picturesque Montana mountain lake, followed by a quick jaunt over to Granite Ghost Town State Park. Grab lunch in Philipsburg, maybe do a little gem mining, and don’t forget to make a stop by The Sweet Palace! Another lunch option along the way is Parkers’ Restaurant in Drummond, featuring over 135 different burgers! As you close in on Lincoln, swing by Hi-Country Trading Post for a snack and wander through Sculpture in the Wild – you won’t want to miss this unique sculpture park!
