Continental Divide in Southwest Montana

The Continental Divide is nearly impossible to miss as you travel across Southwest Montana. This 3,100 mile trail that snakes from Canada to Mexico is no walk in the park, and yet the trail welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Along the trail, you will find incredible opportunity for day-hiking, picnics, scenic vistas and more. If you are looking for the adventure of a lifetime, you can join a few hundred of the most dedicated hikers who hike from one end of the trail to the other as thru-hikers.

Montana claims the largest share of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, with an 820 mile stretch along the rugged Divide.
