The 84th Annual Augusta American Legion Rodeo will be held on Sunday, June 27th, 2021 in Augusta, Montana. This Augusta rodeo is held at Legion Rodeo Grounds.
In addition, there's a weekend full of festivities including live music, a street dance, fun runs, a parade and more.
The rodeo parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, at 2 p.m., with parade participants lining up near the school at 1:15 p.m. It will be announced from John Clark’s building (the former J & S Country Store) by Kyle Inabnit. The grand marshals are Ben and Barb Arps. There is a $10 fee for the entrants in the parade. This money will go to the 3 top float winners. There will be voluntary detour signs posted to reroute traffic for the weekend.
Music will be provided in the downtown area throughout the weekend by local businesses, with a band kicking off the festivities on Friday evening.
There will be an auction on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. (in the parking lot between the store and the Buckhorn) that will include art created by Augusta students, as well as various items that have been donated. Artwork and auction items will be on display at the Community Center building; volunteers are needed to cover shifts that afternoon.
Proceeds from artwork will be split 50/50 between the artists and the Chamber. Proceeds from other auction items will be split 50/50 between the Chamber and the track/football field rehabilitation project. Vendors will be located throughout downtown.
