Vigilante 77 Rally

Vigilante 77 is a multi-day rally experience centered on great roads, great people, and one of Montana’s most iconic historic towns. Based in Virginia City, Montana, the event features two distinct routes running simultaneously: a Dirt Rally and a Road Rally. Each offers its own style of adventure while bringing everyone back together each evening for a shared, communal atmosphere.

The Dirt Rally is designed for drivers eager to explore the surrounding mountains, back roads, and rugged terrain. Expect long days behind the wheel, scenic stops, and the kind of remote driving that defines Montana. Participants should plan for roughly 4–6 hours of driving per day, with breaks whenever possible at creeks, rivers, or swimming holes perfect for cooling off.

The Road Rally caters to those who prefer pavement, showcasing some of the region’s best driving roads. Beginning in Virginia City, the route connects to two additional destinations, linking scenic highways, mountain passes, and memorable stops along the way. Drivers can expect to cover approximately 300 miles each day.
