Virginia City Arts Show

The Virginia City Arts Show brings together art, history and community for an inaugural three-day celebration in one of Montana’s most storied places.

Held September 18–20, 2026, in historic Virginia City, the event will showcase the work of 12 Montana artists while creating opportunities to meet the artists, experience their creative process and purchase original work.

The weekend begins Friday evening with an Opening Reception and Gala from 5–9 PM, welcoming artists, collectors and guests for the official opening of the show.

On Saturday, the Arts Show is open from 11 AM–9 PM, culminating in the Quick Finish at 6 PM. During this special ticketed event, guests can watch artists at work, enjoy cocktails and artisan refreshments, and have the first opportunity to purchase newly completed pieces. Quick Finish tickets are $50.

The weekend continues Sunday from 11 AM–4 PM, offering another opportunity to explore the exhibition, connect with participating artists and discover original Montana art.

More than a traditional art fair, the Virginia City Arts Show is designed as an art experience, bringing artists, makers, students, storytellers, creative thinkers and art lovers together against the extraordinary backdrop of historic Virginia City.
