Stony Cabin is a primitive cabin built in 1914 and used by Forest Service employees working in the area as an intermediate stopover station. Rock Creek is a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream favored by anglers and the cabin is located in a popular area for hunters during big game season. Amenities include two bunkbeds, woodstove for heat, cookstove (bring your own propane canisters). The capacity is four people and the cabin is available year-round. There is no electricity/sewer site hookup. In winter (December -March) you may have to park on Rock Creek Road and walk approximately a quarter mile to access the cabin.
The rental fee is $20.00 per night with a $10.00 reservation fee. For more information on Stony Cabin, please call the Pintler Ranger Station.
