Facilities might be closed, so consider packing a lunch and bringing essentials like extra water, food/snacks, bug spray and a first aid kit. In Montana, both weather and terrain can change quickly. We recommend packing clothing layers to add or remove as weather changes.
As you plan your trip to Southwest Montana, we recommend:
- Calling ahead to your destination and making reservations in advance!
- Keep in mind that Montana’s conditions are always changing when you pack for your Southwest Montana Adventure! Consider packing: masks, layers, bear spray, bug repellent, sunscreen, extra food and water, etc.
- With some facilities closed, or limited capacity, consider packing a lunch when you set off for the day.
- Make sure to keep track of your gas tank and miles to your destination! Plan out your stops for gas to ensure you don’t find yourself unable to reach the next service center.
