Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Philip Daniel is an accomplished pianist and composer known for creating music that evokes powerful emotion and transports listeners into vivid, cinematic worlds. He holds a master’s degree in Piano Performance from the UMKC Conservatory and a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Hastings College.
Daniel has developed a distinctive musical voice that blends classical influences with cinematic textures and minimalist sensibilities. At the heart of his work is the piano, often layered with electronics and percussion to create an immersive sound that resonates with both seasoned musicians and casual listeners alike.
Alongside his solo work, Philip Daniel has built a successful full-time career composing music for dance. His work has been featured with notable companies and choreographers, including Jacob Jonas, Whim W’Him, Salt Dance and, most recently, Kansas City Ballet. His music has been streamed more than 100 million times and featured in films and visual media around the world.
Daniel also maintains an active performing career, touring throughout the United States during the fall and spring.
Today, he lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, with his wife, daughter and their dog.
