Virginia City Gold Rush 5K

A 5k or 1.2k running/walking tour of Historic Virginia City!

Start in Discovery-Ellingsen Park, and go to downtown Virginia City. 1.2k walkers and runners return to the park while the 5k participants take a hillier route past many additional historic structures in Virginia City and also take in the view from Boot Hill Cemetery. Finally the 5k run returns to the Discovery-Ellingsen Park for refreshments, awards, and a great time celebrating afterwards! Be on the lookout for the stage coach, narrow gauge train, and course marshals dressed in 1800's regalia!

The Virginia City Goldrush benefits the Virginia City Chamber of Commerce and it's continual effort to support tourism, local business, and it's community.
