Butte has a strong Irish history from its mining days. The copper mine brought thousands of Irish immigrants to the area and their cultural impact on Butte never faltered. Still today, nearly a quarter of Butte's population is of Irish decent.
Consider celebrating this St. Patrick's Day in the "most Irish place in the U.S."!
The Butte America Foundation is proud to host the 20210 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Uptown Butte. St. Patrick's Day falls on a Tuesday this year, but the celebration still stands to be one for the books! The parade will start at Noon and the route will be the same as year's past.
Parade Route: begins at the corner of Arizona and Granite Streets, proceeding West on Granite to Montana Street, South on montana to Park Street, and finally East on Park toward Arizona Street where the parade will conclude!
Butte's St. Patrick's Day Celebration is popular and draws quite the crowd. The celebration truly kicks off on March 16 with an ode to St. Urho, patron Saint of Finland.
Join us for one of the country's finest tributes to Ireland's most famous son.
