With iconic songs like “Long Black Train” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” Josh Turner has amassed over 5.8 billion global streams, 6.5 million albums sold, and nearly 12 million tracks sold worldwide. His five No. 1 singles include the hit “Your Man,” which has garnered over 223 million views on its official music video. Turner’s album Long Black Train celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023, achieving Platinum certification by the RIAA with nearly 1.5 million albums sold, 1.3 million track downloads, and almost 315 million lifetime streams. The title track, which also went Platinum, has over 1 million downloads and nearly 245 million global streams.
In September 2023, Turner released his first Greatest Hits album, featuring 11 of his biggest songs from seven studio albums. In 2021, he marked 15 years of Your Man, his double-Platinum-selling album, with a deluxe edition and a mini-documentary, Josh Turner: Your Man 15th Anniversary.
His triple-Platinum hit “Would You Go With Me,” featured on the Your Man Deluxe Edition, saw a viral resurgence on TikTok, boosting its streaming numbers and landing it on Spotify’s US Viral 50, as well as viral charts in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland.
A South Carolina native, Turner has earned three GMA Dove Award nominations, winning his first in 2021 for “I Saw The Light” (featuring Sonya Isaacs) from his I Serve a Savior album. He has also been nominated for two GRAMMY Awards, five CMA Awards, two ACM Awards, one CMT Award, seven ACA Awards, and has received six Inspirational Country Music Awards. Turner’s first Christmas album, King Size Manger, was released in 2021 and came out on vinyl the following year. His King Size Manger TV special debuted on UPtv in 2022 and is also available on DVD.
To support music and arts education, Turner created The Josh Turner Scholarship Fund for the Arts, providing opportunities for students to pursue their studies in these fields.
