Watchhouse, the North Carolina duo of Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, have announced their new studio album Rituals, arriving May 30, 2025 via Tiptoe Tiger Music and Thirty Tigers. The project is their first collection of entirely new, original material since their 2021 self-titled release, which drew acclaim from outlets including Rolling Stone, Mojo, NPR Music, and American Songwriter. Rolling Stone praised the album for its “pristine acoustic picking” fused with “hazy, dream-like psychedelia.”
More than a decade ago, Watchhouse began performing in coffee shops and neighborhood restaurants across North Carolina, steadily building a devoted following through Marlin’s evocative songwriting. Since then, they’ve sold out iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Ryman Auditorium, amassed hundreds of millions of streams, and earned recognition from The Washington Post for “redefining roots music for a younger generation.”
Now balancing life as bandmates and family, the pair’s unmistakable chemistry continues to shape their sound - earnest, finely crafted songs that explore life’s mysteries, heartbreaks, and shared joys. Their forthcoming album carries that spirit forward.
