Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area encompasses 5,129 acres.
Management goal: To provide and improve habitat for ducks, geese and non-game species and to provide wildlife viewing and hunting opportunities.
Hunting opportunities: Archery, shotgun, muzzleloader and traditional handgun for white-tailed deer; bird hunting for pheasants, ducks and Canada geese.
Wildlife viewing: Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area is an excellent place to see migrating waterfowl and many nesting birds, including Canada geese, double-crested cormorants, American white pelicans, Caspian terns and ospreys. Commonly seen mammals include white-tailed deer, beaver, raccoon, mink and red fox. River otters and moose are seen infrequently.
