The Parrot is a family-owned business located in downtown Helena since 1922. It has gained a worldwide reputation for quality hand-dipped chocolates made from fresh, natural ingredients and utilizing up to ten tons of chocolate each year. The Parrot produces a selection of 130 different types of candy, using recipes devised by its original owners. Favorites include a turtle-like confection called a parrot, chocolate-covered caramels, almond butter toffee and other delectable creams, nuts and chews.
For Helenans who grew up with the Parrot and reluctantly moved away, and for visitors who discover the habit-forming nature of these fine candies, The Parrot ships gift boxes and special orders throughout the world. Choose from our assorted chocolates, general assortment or roasted nuts in boxes ranging from one to five pounds.
A visit to The Parrot is as rich as the heaping trays of chocolates, brittles, mint wafers and roasted nuts that adorn the candy counter. The original soda fountain still serves up cherry phosphates and caramel cashew sundaes prepared with handmade ice cream, sauces, toppings, and syrups. And loyal lunch customers line up regularly for a bowl of The Parrot's secret recipe chili.
Please visit us for a made in Montana treat you are sure to love!
