Ennis, Montana | Annual 4th of July Parade and Rodeo

📍Main Street & Ennis Rodeo Grounds

This year marks the 90th Annual Ennis 4th of July Parade! It’ll roll down Main Street at 10 am on the 4th, but the celebration actually starts the night before. The rodeo spans two nights, July 3rd and 4th, both at 7 pm, featuring competition from top cowboys and cowgirls. Tickets for the rodeo can be purchased in advance at the Ennis Pharmacy or online, here. The day wraps up with fireworks in nearby Virginia City.

Virginia City, Montana | Fireworks

📍Wallace Street

The streets of Virginia City are unlike anywhere else. It’s one of the most well-preserved ghost towns in the West, dating back to the mid 1800s. For the 4th of July, it’s dressed up in red, white and blue, the historic main street shops and restaurants are open, the Brewery Follies are putting on a show, and after dark, fireworks light up the sky.

Helena, Montana | Capital City Celebration and Fireworks

📍Centennial Park & East Helena

The Capital City 4th of July Celebration kicks off at 10:30 am at Centennial Park with free hot dogs, root beer floats, a live band, and bounce houses for the kiddos, all free of charge. Then head east for the evening’s Prickly Pear Fireworks show in East Helena. It’s one of the best firework shows in the region, and it’s visible from Helena, too, if you would rather stay closer to town.

Butte, Montana | Freedom Festival

📅 July 3 – 4, 2026
📍Montana Tech & Harrison Avenue

Butte goes big for the 4th, and it starts a day early! On July 3rd, fireworks will be launched from the base of the famous “Big M” above Montana Tech, and it’s one of the most spectacular ways to kick off Independence Day. The celebration continues with a parade from the Butte Civic Center down Harrison Avenue at 10 am on the 4th, with live music and food throughout the city to round out the day. Be sure to claim a spot for parade viewing early!

Dillon, Montana | Dillon Jaycee’s 4th of July Celebration

📍Ray Lynch Park

In Dillon, the 4th of July is not just a single day. Dillon Days runs three days with a full slate of events, including a parade through Downtown Dillon on the 4th, the Blowin’ Smoke BBQ Cook-Off, a car show, a duck race at Depot Park, sidewalk sales and vendors, live music, a cribbage tournament, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and so much more. Of course, the evening on the 4th wraps up with a fireworks show at Ray Lynch Park around 10 pm!

Deer Lodge, Montana | 4th of July Celebration at the Old Montana Prison

📍Ray Lynch Park

The Old Montana Prison Museum is hosting a free community potluck and fireworks show on July 4th from 6 to 11 pm, with games, live music, and food from Mackenzie River Pizza. After the sun sets, fireworks light up the sky above the historic prison walls.

Lincoln, Montana | 4th of July Parade and Rodeo

📅 July 4 – 5, 2026
📍Main Street, Lincoln Rodeo Grounds & Hooper Park

Lincoln kicks off the 4th with a parade on Main Street at 11 am, followed by the 74th Annual Lincoln Rodeo at 1 pm with bull riding, team roping, steer wrestling, the famous ring of fire, and more. At 4 pm on the 4th, the Red White and Boom Celebration at Hooper Park brings food and drink vendors, a dunk tank, cornhole, live music, and a 50/50 raffle. Fireworks cap the night at dusk from the Lincoln School’s Football Field, best viewed from Hooper Park. Then the rodeo runs again on July 5th at 1 pm!
